Teacher Profile: Sally Parkes
Sally Parkes is a Sports Science graduate and has been instructing since 1998 around the country and overseas. She has trained a vast array of people including athletes, children and seniors, and has written articles for Yoga Magazine UK amonst others.
Sally has an extensive knowledge of sports having been involved in marathon running, martial arts and weight training and various team sports for many years. She began yoga in an attempt to heal a sports injury and soon realised that as well as healing the injury, yoga was much more than an exercise class.

“It was completely different in its approach to anything I had tried before in that it aims to integrate mind, body and spirit rather than just focus on the physical body”. S.P.
In the same way Pilates helped Sally with back pain and she found that the integration of mind and body was also encouraged in Pilates. As well as continuing her studies in her chosen area of expertise, Sally is now based in Worthing and is a full-time Hatha and Dynamic yoga teacher. She also teaches Mother and Baby Yoga, Pregnanacy Yoga and Pilates and works throughout the Worthing and West Sussex area.
